My research interests in the area of surgical robotics are continuum robots, robotic palpation, and haptics for surgical robotics. My work focuses on task-based design and modeling of the tele-surgical robotic systems to aid in determining the best suitable manipulator design for a given task, continuum robots, and robotic assistance for trauma care. I am interested in being involved and continuing to contribute to the field of surgical robotics.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“Obtained my Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat (NIT Surat) in 2017. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University working as a graduate research assistant at the Advanced Robotics and Mechanism Applications (ARMA), advised by Prof. Nabil Simaan.

πŸ’Ό Prior to graduate school, I worked at IIT Bombay as a junior research fellow for the sponsored project "Development of a Powered Transtibial Prosthesis", advised by Dr. Abhishek Gupta and as a project research assistant for the sponsored project "Development of multisensory technique for intervention of developmental dyslexia: An electrophysiological and behavioural approach", advised by Dr. Azizuddin Khan. In 2022, spent four months as a mechanical engineering intern with the research and innovation team at Johnson & Johnson, MedTech.
